Dear Friend,
There is a particular kind of joy in celebrating someone who has not yet arrived.
It is hope, made visible.
For a baby shower, I always keep things soft. Nothing loud, nothing rushed. A gentle cake in cream and the palest blush, with a tiny detail or two to make the mother-to-be smile.
“Before they arrive, they are already loved beyond measure.”
These mornings are tender ones. Friends gathered close, a little happy nervousness in the air, and a whole future waiting just around the corner. I feel honoured to bake for days like these.
