Sophia turns one.

Butterflies, giggles and the sweetest little celebration.

4 minute read

Dear Friend,

A first birthday is not really for the birthday girl. She will not remember the cake, or the candle, or the song.

It is for everyone who loves her.

Sophia's family wanted something gentle. A little cake in the softest pink, with a single flower and enough room for one curious hand to reach out and discover it.

The photographs from that morning will be looked at for the rest of her life.
A joyful yellow unicorn birthday cake with a golden horn, a mane of pink and orange flowers and lit candles, on a candlelit celebration table
Butterflies, giggles and candlelight — the sweetest little celebration.

She pressed both hands straight into the buttercream, of course. The whole room laughed. And somewhere in that laughter was a memory the family will carry for decades.

With love,
